Off Grid Gear Guy is run by a single person.
My name is Michael, and I work on this site within the small slivers of time I have left when I am not working or spending time raising a family. It is truly a passion project for me, and very soon it will be a main focus. But until then…
Why do I do this?
Because I know what it was like to “feel” prepared, but fall short after a series of natural disasters that put our family through a tough period.
Fortunately, no one was physically hurt, but the experience weighed on my mind enough to make it my personal mission to do better, not just for me but for those whom I can reach.
Just who am I?
I am a real small business owner with a mission to provide as much value as possible through content that will help families and small operators within their communities become and stay resilient through any disaster that may come their way.
With that said, my family and I are not AI and have had real-world experiences dealing with natural disasters and the aftermath.
We found that the best way to help others is when times are calm and pressure is not an issue. It appears those days are quickly becoming a thing of the past.
My Pledge:
The practice advice, guides, and recommended product reviews will always be simple, honest, unbiased, and accurate to help make the best-informed decisions. No fluff and right to the point. It is also extremely helpful to hear reader and user feedback! This helps our site develop a full spectrum of experiences for review.
My Humble Ask:
If you have the means, please help keep the guides and content free by making a voluntary cash gift or using the affiliate links throughout the site for recommended products, which pay a small commission (with no cost to you). This helps me divert more and more of my time to what matters most, improving this site.
I sincerely hope this site will help every family around the world become as resilient, vigilant, and safe as possible as we navigate these interesting times.
With warmest regards,
Michael
